Retouching and repair: examples

The picture on the left is badly creased, has badly faded on the right hand side, is speckled with dirt and scratches in many places and has been written on in biro in the bottom right-hand corner. The picture on the right has been manipulated to remove creases, scratches and dirt. A sepia tint has also been added. This level of manipulation would cost in the region of £50, including a printed copy of the manipulated image and the scanned and manipulated images on floppy disk or CD-R.
